BACKSTORY: I checked out the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington when I was in High School. I immediately fell in love and promptly enrolled. It was the only college I applied to and I don't regret that singular decision one bit. The beauty of the campus is beyond compare, and I ended up living there an additional fourteen years after I graduated. Because of the IU Music School, the level of cultural events available to the community is unparalleled. The irony is that in many of the surrounding towns, you feel like it is still the 1950s.
