Atlanta History Center

BACKSTORY: Atlanta History Center is a history museum in the Buckhead district of Atlanta. The Museum was founded in 1926 and currently consists of nine permanent, and several temporary, exhibitions. Atlanta History Center's campus is 33-acres and features historic gardens and houses located on the grounds, including Swan House, Smith Farm, and Wood Family Cabin. Atlanta History Center's Midtown Campus includes the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum. Note: my June 2007 photos were taken at the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum, which was at a different location. The Cyclorama was moved in 2015 to the Atlanta History Center and reopened to the public in 2019.
