RiCHMOND, VA

BACKSTORY: Richmond, located near the James River, is the capital of Virginia. In recent times, it has become notorious for its Monument Avenue area, where four Confederate statues preside over the street. The city is so much more than these stone statues. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, The Maymont Mansion, and The Jefferson Hotel are three wonderful reasons to visit this southern city.
