Valley Forge

BACKSTORY: Valley Forge was the site of the 1777-78 winter encampment of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. As a young boy growing up, this place was nirvana and inspired my appreciation for history, preservation, and architecture. To have history practically in my backyard was unbelievable; to be able to visit Washington's Headquarters, snoop inside a recreation of a soldier's cabin, or go sledding in the winter in the same spots that the troops marched was mind-blowing. The rolling hills and trees make Valley Forge National Park one of the most picturesque spots you could imagine.
